Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Autism, serving students in grades K-8 in a full-time, on-site role based in Aurora, CO. The position spans from January 7, 2026, to May 21, 2026, supporting three classrooms with approximately 12 students each. The student population ranges from elementary to middle school levels, providing a dynamic and rewarding teaching environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with autism across three classrooms.
  • Manage and collaborate with paraprofessionals to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth.
  • Maintain clear communication with school staff and families regarding student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado Teaching License with a Special Education Generalist endorsement.
  • Experience working in classroom settings with students on the autism spectrum.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage paraprofessionals.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining an on-site presence; no virtual or hybrid arrangements.

Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Position is located at a single school on the east side of Auroras Denver area.
