Job Title: Department Supervisor

Job Description

The Department Supervisor is responsible for organizing the workflow within the department to ensure maximum efficiency. This includes overseeing the organization of orders, maintaining materials, and enforcing compliance with rates, standards, and policies. The supervisor must ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures while maintaining department organization and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Organize orders by the latest date/ship week method to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure all materials required for the department are organized and easily accessible.
  • Understand and enforce rates and standards, ensuring employees use appropriate codes.
  • Ensure employees use their assigned stamps for work identification.
  • Communicate any factory changes and requirements to employees.
  • Train and continuously develop new and current employees.
  • Manage department transitions in case of employee absence.
  • Communicate with management regarding issues, department needs, and policy deviations.
  • Support teamwork and flexibility as the factory undergoes changes.
  • Ensure effective communication and cooperation with supervisors of other departments.
  • Inspect work performed and address ongoing performance issues with management.
  • Discuss and implement improvements to organizational efforts and operational methods.

  • Maintain optimal inventory for department resources

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Attleboro Falls, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
