Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 Special Education teaching opportunity is available for an experienced educator licensed or eligible for provisional licensing in Vermont. This contract position begins immediately and continues through the current school year, serving one school within the district.

Location: Brattleboro, VT
Duration: Immediate start end of current school year
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Grade Levels: K-12 Special Education

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering individualized instruction and support to students with special needs across the K-12 spectrum
  • Collaborating with educational teams to develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Maintaining accurate documentation aligned with state and federal guidelines
  • Supporting student growth through adaptive teaching techniques and data-driven interventions
  • Participating in professional development and virtual meetings, including interviews conducted via Zoom

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Vermont Special Education licensure preferred; the district is open to candidates pursuing provisional licensure
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse student population in a K-12 setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to student-centered education
  • Experience with IEP development, progress monitoring, and behavior support strategies
