Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An elementary school in Reading, PA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide coverage during an FMLA leave from March 9th through June 5th. This contract role offers an opportunity to support young learners in a well-equipped environment while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 57 students, including consult-only cases and those in self-contained K-2 Autistic Support classrooms
  • Provide individualized and small group speech and language therapy services
  • Utilize your expertise in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology to address diverse communication needs
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement effective interventions
  • Maintain detailed documentation and progress monitoring

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience or interest in school-based pediatric speech-language services
  • Open to candidates holding Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work the schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, with some flexibility around student arrival and dismissal times (typically 7:45 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.)
  • Comfortable working in a dedicated office space, suitable for individual and small group sessions
