Location: New Oxford, PA
Compensation: 65,000 to 75,000 annually
Openings: 2
Reports to: Superintendent
Status: Exempt

Position Overview

We are seeking two Production Supervisors to support key areas of our poultry processing facility. These roles are responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product quality while leading and developing large teams. The ideal candidates will bring strong leadership skills, a hands on approach, and the ability to maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in a fast paced environment.

Available OpeningsOpening 1: 1st Processing Supervisor (Evisceration)

  • Oversees the area where turkeys are slaughtered and processed prior to the chiller
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting around 4:00 AM until finish (typically 2:00 PM)
  • Saturday work is rare
  • Manages a team of 70 or more employees
  • Highly floor based role with constant presence on the production line
  • Prior poultry or meat processing experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of USDA, SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards is beneficial
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
  • Requires strong coaching, communication, and people leadership skills
  • Must support a respectful, positive culture and resolve issues professionally

Opening 2: Packing Supervisor (Raw Packaging)

  • Oversees packaging of raw turkey products including ground turkey, burgers, wings, and similar items
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday with occasional or rotating Saturdays
  • Premium pay of 210 dollars for any 6th day worked
  • Most of the year does not require Saturday work
  • Manages 5 production lines, each with a line lead and approximately 11 employees
  • Food manufacturing experience required; poultry experience helpful but not required
  • Must be confident, decisive, and skilled in conflict resolution
  • Must balance QA requirements with production goals in a fast paced environment
  • Department operates in refrigerated conditions (approximately 42 degrees)
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production activities and manage workflow to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
  • Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques to enhance production efficiency
  • Lead and develop the production team through training, performance evaluations, and coaching
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations including OSHA and HACCP
  • Conduct regular quality control checks and ensure adherence to GMP processes and SQF standards
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to maintain necessary materials for production
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization
  • Analyze production metrics and data to identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and collaboration within the production team
  • Ensure compliance with EEO and USDA regulations in all production activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 2 or more years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in poultry production
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control systems, and safety regulations
  • Proficient in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to make data driven decisions
  • Experience with performance metrics and inventory management
  • Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, SQF, and USDA standards
