Position Summary
The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial operations. Reporting directly to the Controller, this individual will assist in overseeing the financial reporting process, strengthen internal controls, manage accounting functions, and contribute to financial planning activities.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

Analyze financial data and trends to support leadership in strategic planning and decision-making.

Oversee A/P, A/R, and general ledger maintenance for accuracy and completeness.

Support the development and refinement of accounting processes and controls.

Collaborate with operational departments to align financial reporting with business performance.

Participate in audit preparation, tax filings, and compliance reporting.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.

Contribute to software/system transitions or upgrades related to finance operations.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred

Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control principles.

Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar platforms.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive, collaborative work ethic.
