Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room with a focus on perfusion and cardiac cases. This contract position requires a dedicated professional ready to work five 8-hour day shifts, typically from 08:00 to 16:30, with shift times subject to change based on unit needs. Flexibility is important—please discuss specifics with the manager during your interview.

Qualifications and Required Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' perfusion experience in operating rooms
Ability to independently assist with ECMO cannulation for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
Experience with ECMO transport is essential
Proficiency with Spectrum Pumps (facility recently transitioned to this system)
Familiarity with: Terumo System 1, Quest MPS 2/3 Cardioplegia, ISTAT, Centrimag, Impella 5.5, Bellmont Hyperthermia Kit, CardioHelp, Angiovac, CardioQuip HC
Background in CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, Pediatric General OR, and Level 1 Trauma settings
At least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Current ACLS, BLS, and ABCP Clinical Perfusionist certifications
Scrubs are provided by the unit
Previous travel assignment experience required (no first-time travelers)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide intraoperative support as part of the surgical team in both routine and emergent cardiac cases
Independently perform and assist with ECMO procedures, including patient transport
Operate advanced perfusion equipment and manage care across a range of patient populations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Accurately document patient information and procedures using EPIC
