Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Norton Shores seeking HR Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle for production, technical, and administrative roles, including high-volume hiring and retention strategies.
  • Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary actions, fostering a positive and productive work environment across all shifts.
  • Partner with operations to ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Identify training and development needs, implementing programs for skills enhancement, safety compliance, and leadership within the manufacturing workforce.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws specific to manufacturing operations.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, supporting managers in driving accountability and productivity.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HR management experience, with significant time in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in labor relations, including collective bargaining and grievance management.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR compliance, safety regulations (OSHA), and EHS best practices.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies for production roles.
  • Experience with performance management and employee development programs tailored for manufacturing workforces.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems optimized for shift work and production environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing-specific safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and workers' compensation.
  • Experience managing HR in a unionized manufacturing facility.
