- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays\n
\n\nJob Requirements / Qualifications\n

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing\n
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room (ER) RN experience\n
- At least 1 year of ER travel nurse experience preferred\n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)\n
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification (required)\n
- Successful passage of Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams\n
- Demonstrated skills in IV administration and IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring\n
- Experience with computerized nursing informatics / electronic medical records (EMR)\n
- TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications preferred\n
- Completion of an approved de-escalation certification course preferred\n
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English\n
\n\nEmergency Department Responsibilities\n

- Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the Emergency Department (ED)\n
- Triage and manage acute medical and trauma patients, demonstrating strong ER clinical judgment\n
- Administer and monitor patient responses to medications and treatments\n
- Perform IV starts, manage ventilator care, and monitor telemetry as needed\n
- Direct and guide patient care, teaching, and activities of ancillary personnel\n
- Maintain accurate, timely patient records and document assessments, interventions, and discharge plans\n
- Summarize assessment data and initiate plans of care, communicating pertinent information to allied health providers\n
- Demonstrate proficiency as charge nurse and in computerized nursing informatics\n
- Serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and staff education\n
- Participate in unit staff meetings, mandatory programs, and ongoing professional development\n
- Adhere to safety protocols, blood/body fluid policies, and maintain patient confidentiality\n
- Consistently provide service excellence to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers\n
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor\n
