Dietitian
Virginia Beach, VA |30-40 hours weekly | Possible remote/hybrid

Qualifications that will make you a good fit:
• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential (required).
• Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Virginia.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and advocate for resident-centered care.
• This position requires a high level of attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills.
What You’ll Do:
• Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments and create individualized care plans for resident and some with G-tubes.
• Develop creative, engaging menus that align with dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, nurses, and caregivers, to ensure safe and effective mealtime support.
• Monitor health outcomes and adjust dietary plans as needed.
• Train staff on food safety, dietary needs, and adaptive mealtime strategies.
• Participate in care planning meetings and maintain accurate documentation to meet all regulatory standards.
• Express creativity when creating meal plans that make sense.
• Be able to accommodate menus for residents with unique allergies or dietary requirements.
