Air Traffic Control Superintendent--OCONUS

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Air Traffic Control Superintendent to oversee air traffic control operations and ensure compliance with federal regulations at a project site in Kwajalein. Ability and willingness to travel internationally is required. The ideal candidate will lead construction projects related to air traffic facilities, manage staff, and coordinate with various stakeholders. NOTE: Prior experience working on USACE projects and CQM certification is required for serious consideration. Employer has domestic and international projects actively underway.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise air traffic control operations and personnel to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Manage construction projects related to air traffic control facilities, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with federal agencies and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols during construction and operational phases.
  • Conduct regular inspections of air traffic control facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop a comprehensive Construction Execution Plan outlining the overall strategy for completing the project including: defining project scope, objectives, methodologies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Planning Engineer to develop a detailed project schedule that outlines all phases of construction, including key milestones and deadlines.
  • Input and maintain up to date schedule in Primavera
  • Develop Resource Plan to identify all necessary resources, including manpower, equipment, tools, and consumables required for the project.
  • Provide training and support to staff in operations and construction activities.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to project progress and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven experience as a Superintendent in air traffic control operations or related fields.
  • Bachelors Degree (Preferred, but requirement can be waived with significant experience and letters of recommendation)
  • Active CQM certification and prior USACE project experience
  • OSHA 30
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations and standards in air traffic management.
  • Experience in construction project management, including planning and execution.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Prior experience working OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Primavera and similar project management software
  • Field experience in the following: demolition, lead & asbestos abatement, earthwork, excavation, probe & grout, foundation works, concrete building and towers, steel structure, Mechanical and electrical work, underground utilities, fire protection works and fit-out.
