Job Purpose:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The VAS Clerk plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the Value-Added Services department. This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor and Team Lead with a variety of administrative and operational tasks to ensure the efficient processing of finished goods and customer-specific requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
- This role consists of approximately 40% desk-based tasks and 60% floor-based activities, requiring strong multitasking skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Create and manage receiver entries for inbound products
- Receive and verify finished goods against documentation
- Conduct pick checks to ensure order accuracy and compliance
- Facilitate customer approval processes and maintain related records
- Support quality assurance (QA) procedures and escalating discrepancies
- Prepare and send Return to Sender (RTS) forms as needed
- Collaborate with VAS Supervisor/Lead to execute daily priorities
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely data entry
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Uphold safety and operational standards while working on the floor
Qualifications:
- Basic office clerical skills.
- Must be able to type at least 40 wpm.
- 1 – 2 years of clerical experience.
- Basic transportation / logistics experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent movement between office and warehouse areas
- Standing and walking for extended periods during floor operations
Education and/or Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) is preferred.
