Exceptional opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room, located at a premier surgical center in Nellis AFB, NV. This contract role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a recognized Robotic Center of Excellence where advanced technology and collaborative teamwork are paramount.
Work Schedule:
- Standard shifts: 0630-1500
- Optional 10-hour shifts: 0630-1700
- On-call requirements: 1st call from shift end to 2300, 2nd call from shift end to 0630 next day, weekend call split into 24-hour or 12-hour segments
- 40 hours weekly plus call
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care across diverse surgical specialties including general, vascular, surgical oncology, colorectal, gynecological oncology, urology, orthopedics, and spine surgeries (excluding open hearts and craniotomies)
- Assist with robotic-assisted procedures utilizing state-of-the-art DaVinci systems (Xi, SP, DV5 models)
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams, residents, and anesthesia providers to maintain exemplary patient care standards
- Utilize clinical documentation system (Meditec) accurately and efficiently
- Uphold unit-specific policies ensuring patient safety and compliance with hospital guidelines
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum two years Operating Room experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
- Certified in BLS and ACLS
- Proficiency with DaVinci robotic surgical equipment highly preferred
- Ability to manage a 1:1 patient ratio in an 11-bed surgical suite
- Demonstrated capability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team
