Transportation Coordinator - Driver
DonorConnect is looking for a full-time Transportation Coordinator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is a natural delegator, works well independently and collaboratively, has a background in driving or courier services, and is open to working a variety of shifts.

As a Transportation Coordinator at DonorConnect, you will play a vital role in our life-saving mission. You will work closely with on-call organ and tissue donation coordinators, providing critical transportation services, including the transport of organ recovery personnel, biological samples, and essential supplies.
Due to the sensitive and time-critical nature of organ donation, strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing timelines are essential. You must also be tech-savvy, as the role involves using digital systems for communication, tracking, and documentation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a valid driver's license, TSA registration, and other required certifications
- Performing fleet maintenance and vehicle upkeep
- Completing all assigned on-call shifts as scheduled

Minimum Qualifications:
Training/Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Chauffeur's license required within 90 days of employment
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years of routine driving experience
- Excellent driving record
- Previous courier experience preferred
- Positions with high levels of interpersonal interaction and communication
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Awareness of the fastest routes to hospitals, labs, and airports
- Awareness of types of transportation needs for DonorConnect tissue and organ cases
- Defensive driving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stoop, squat, or bend frequently
- Exposure to patient elements including communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting
- Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, consider alternative and diverse perspectives, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- High degree of accountability and the ability work independently
