Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A licensed mental health professional is needed to provide counseling services in an elementary school setting. This is a part-time contract position designed to support students with emotional and behavioral needs, offering a meaningful opportunity to make a difference within the school community.
Location: Derry, NH
Schedule: 20 hours per week, 3 days per week
Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
Student Population: Approximately 12 students
Caseload Focus: Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) in a high school environment
Qualifications:
- Current, valid licensure as a Counselor, Social Worker, or School Psychologist is required
- Statements of Eligibility will not be accepted; candidates must hold active licenses or certifications
- Experience working with students who have emotional and behavioral challenges is highly desirable
- Strong communication, assessment, and intervention skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and support to students with emotional and behavioral disorders
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and external agencies to develop and implement intervention plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain confidential records and comply with all relevant regulations and school policies
