Travel X-Ray Technologist - Evenings - Jacksonville, IL

Location: Jacksonville, IL
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, 5x8 Evening Shift
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours: 40 per week
Type: Travel

Position Overview

A hospital in Jacksonville, IL is seeking a dedicated Travel X-Ray Technologist for an evening shift assignment. The technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using advanced X-ray equipment to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires efficiency, adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality X-ray examinations according to physician orders

• Prepare and position patients for imaging while ensuring comfort and safety

• Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, monitoring for proper functionality

• Follow ALARA radiation safety standards to protect patients and staff

• Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to ensure accurate imaging and prompt results

• Maintain detailed patient records and imaging documentation in Cerner EMR

• Float within scope as needed to support facility needs

• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and quality assurance procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent X-ray technology experience (first-time travelers accepted)

• ARRT (R) certification required

• BLS certification preferred

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program

• Ability to work independently and perform under pressure

• Pending licenses accepted

• Local candidates welcome; no radius restrictions

• Must be adaptable to flexible scheduling or block scheduling as approved by management

Pay Details:

• Gross Pay (weekly): $2306.0

• Taxable Pay (weekly): 1060.0

• Non-taxable Pay (weekly): 1246.0
