Job DescriptionAdministrative Assistant - Mortgage Team
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client to hire an Administrative Assistant to support their Mortgage Operations Team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced financial services environment. The position is fully on-site in Hauppauge, New York, and offers strong long-term potential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare reports on mortgage loans, including disbursement dates and related loan information
- Research computer files and enter mortgage loan data into pre-formatted documents
- Organize and maintain mortgage loan files; prioritize files based on loan type
- Draft and prepare correspondence related to mortgage activity
- Collect, review, and analyze data to prepare reports, charts, budgets, and presentation materials
- Use word processing, spreadsheets, and mortgage-related software to produce accurate documentation
- Prepare and distribute scheduled reports and internal communications
- Maintain filing systems, databases, and archives of relevant mortgage records
- Screen phone calls and respond to routine internal and external inquiries
- Support student loan payment processes and assist with balance sheet activities, as needed
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Minimum 2years of general work or administrative experience
- Strong organizational and data-entry skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
Location: Hauppauge, NY (Fully On-Site)
Compensation: $25-$30/hour
Employment Type: Contract with long-term potential
