DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ACCOUNTING POSITION
NAC International, a global provider in nuclear fuel cycle management solutions and consulting services, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Director of Finance and Accounting to join our growing team at our Peachtree Corners, GA headquarters. This is a hybrid remote position which offers flexibility to work both on-site and remotely.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As Director of Finance & Accounting, you will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and lead the financial and budgeting operations of NAC International. You will oversee consolidated financial reporting across all subsidiaries and play a key role in shaping and executing enterprise-wide financial strategies.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN:
You will take full ownership of NAC's financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal control frameworks. This role requires a hands-on, technically proficient leader who can communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively. You will also supervise and develop the accounting team, promote operational excellence through process improvements, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
JOB DUTIES:
- Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, banking, timesheet administration and expense report auditing/reimbursements, governmental accounting/reporting, fixed assets, and account reconciliations.
- Lead the development and execution of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Streamline financial processes and reporting mechanisms to enable future growth.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting to parent company.
- Collaborate with business leaders and project managers to enhance project performance tracking and profitability and ensure accurate forecasting and revenue calculation.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local financial regulations.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes across business units.
- Monitor financial performance and advise senior management on financial reporting.
- Coordinate and lead external audits and tax preparation inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses from NAC and its subsidiaries.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard assets and ensure operational efficiency.
- Prepare and support board presentations with financial insights, reporting, and analysis.
- Proposal and purchase requisition approvals.
- Provide financial modeling, analysis, and insights to support strategic initiatives, including acquisitions and large contracts.
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, promoting a culture of performance and growth.
- Evaluate, implement and oversee financial systems, tools, and policies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field. A Master's degree (MBA/MAcc) or CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, including supervisory roles.
- Must have 100% complete accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting responsibilities.
- Experience working with companies with multiple entities, international and intercompany transactions is a plus.
- Proven experience leading through audits and managing relationships with external auditors and tax preparers.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, monthly closure, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Demonstrated success in supporting board presentations with financial data and insights.
- Hands-on experience driving the annual budgeting process from planning to execution.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Well-organized, inquisitive, confident, self-aware, decisive and creative.
- Strong systems aptitude and proficiency, including expert Excel skills. Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications is strongly preferred.
