Job Title: Construction Technician
Job Description
Join a field-based construction team that specializes in setting up and breaking down party and tent rental equipment at a variety of outdoor locations. In this client-facing role, you load and unload materials, travel with the crew to job sites, and perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Load trucks each morning with all required materials and equipment for the day, ensuring party and tent rental items are complete and securely packed.
- Travel with the crew from the shop to various job sites in a company truck.
- Assemble and set up party and tent rental equipment safely and efficiently according to job specifications and site conditions.
- Disassemble party and tent rental equipment at the end of events, ensuring all components are accounted for and handled carefully.
- Reload the truck at the end of each job, organizing and securing equipment for transport back to the warehouse.
- Organize and stage materials and equipment upon return to the warehouse to prepare for upcoming jobs.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and perform other related duties as assigned to support successful project completion.
- Maintain a professional, client-facing attitude on-site, representing the company positively with customers and venue staff.
- Adhere to safety procedures and best practices while performing heavy labor and working around tools and equipment.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of heavy labor experience, such as construction, concrete, asphalt, roofing, or site development work.
- Ability to lift and carry more than 100 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience with construction-related tasks, including work with concrete, asphalt, roofing, or site development.
- Reliability in reporting to the shop daily and traveling to multiple job sites.
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a field crew in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Any additional heavy labor experience is a plus.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools is highly beneficial.
- Experience in general labor or construction labor environments is advantageous.
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and venue staff in a customer-facing setting.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Towson, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
