We’re looking for a strong, hands-on Assistant Director of Human Resources to support our growing HR team and help lead the day-to-day operations that keep our employee experience running smoothly.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of leadership and execution. You'll be a key partner to the VP of People & Policy and work closely with the HR team to oversee projects, coach team members, and make sure we’re hitting our goals with consistency and care. While this role is leadership-focused, we’re also looking for someone willing to jump in and support tactical HR responsibilities when needed—helping the team stay on track during busy periods or transitions.

???? Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000 (based on experience)
Candidates can reside in one of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MO, MS, NC, NV, OH, OK, SC, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WI
What You’ll DoTeam Support & Daily Operations

Serve as a resource and thought partner for HR team members

Help manage team priorities and keep projects moving

Provide coaching and support for team growth and accountability

Monitor processes to ensure alignment, consistency, and documentation

Step in as a backup for tactical HR tasks when needed, ensuring smooth operations during high-volume times, team absences, or transitions
Project Leadership & Process Improvement

Lead cross-functional HR initiatives like ADP optimization, HR ticketing systems, and succession planning

Coordinate with stakeholders and track milestones for high-impact projects

Identify and implement system-based solutions to improve efficiency
Policy, Compliance & ER Support

Support HR policy development, auditing, and rollouts

Assist in resolving employee relations issues and compliance needs

Ensure HR practices meet multi-state regulatory standards
Training & Development

Support manager development efforts and help roll out LMS-based training

Assist in building learning tools, resources, and engagement plans

Track participation and measure training impact
What You Bring
-
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)

SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
-
8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 4–5 years managing an HR team

Strong understanding of multi-state HR compliance and employment law

Proven experience leading HR initiatives and cross-functional projects

Proficiency in HR systems (ADP preferred) and confident using data to guide decisions

Excellent communication, relationship-building, and coaching skills

Strong business acumen with a practical, people-first mindset
