Position: Industrial Millwright
Location: Savannah, Georgia
Pay Rate: $28 to $30 dollars per hour (based on experience)
Hours: 40–55 hours per week, with some overtime available
Per Diem: Contingent upon meeting company requirements
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Plant Manager
Job Summary:
The Industrial Millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment, machinery, and systems.
This includes performing bolt-up assemblies, ensuring proper alignment, and supporting start-up and commissioning of new equipment.
The role ensures safe and efficient operation of production equipment, supports continuous manufacturing processes, and minimizes downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bolt-up assemblies, alignment, and calibration of new machinery and equipment.
- Install, maintain, and repair production machinery, conveyors, presses, mixers, and other mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair parts and components as needed using hand and power tools, welding, and machining equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders and inspection logs.
- Collaborate with electricians, automation technicians, and engineers to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely.
- Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process upgrades.
- Support start-up and commissioning of new equipment to ensure proper operation and alignment with standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred.
- Journeyman-level millwright experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Experience with bolt-up assemblies, conveyors, presses, mixers, and robotics.
- Proficient with hand tools, precision instruments, and welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and high-voltage equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime.
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening.
- OSHA 10 Certificate required.
Compensation & Hours:
- Hourly Rate: $28–$30 dollars per hour, based on experience.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally heavier loads.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, or in varying temperatures.
- Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
Work Environment:
Industrial manufacturing or heavy industrial facility with active machinery, moving parts, and a fast-paced production setting.
