Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, starting August 31, 2026, and ending June 4, 2027. This role is based in Eden Prairie, MN, and focuses on supporting students within a Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Setting 3 classroom. The caseload will include approximately 6-10 students, providing an impactful and specialized learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specially designed instruction tailored to the developmental and cognitive needs of students with DCD and ASD
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Creating a positive, structured classroom atmosphere that encourages progress and growth
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
- Communicating regularly with families and school staff to support student success
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid teaching license with endorsements in ASD or DCD, specifically Tier 3 or Tier 4
- Experience working with students with developmental cognitive disabilities and autism spectrum disorder
- Strong classroom management skills in a Setting 3 special education environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a single-building special education team
- Fluency in Spanish is highly valued to support diverse learners
