Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Join a dedicated educational team as a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) serving K-12 students. This itinerant position provides specialized support for visually impaired students throughout the district, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student learning and development. The role is contract-based for the 2026-2027 school year, with multiple openings available.

Location: Camp Lejeune, NC

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students across K-12 grade levels.
Work itinerantly, providing specialized services and collaborating with general education teachers, families, and related service providers.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) while monitoring student progress.
Train and consult with staff and families to foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
Utilize specialized assessment methods and assistive technology to enhance student learning.

Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
Experience working with visually impaired students in a K-12 setting preferred.
Strong skills in assessment, curriculum adaptation, and use of assistive technology.
Ability to manage an itinerant schedule effectively across multiple school locations.
