Job Summary
American River Home Care, a locally owned and operated agency, is seeking a versatile and motivated Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional who is not only skilled in revenue cycle management but also eager to learn across multiple lines of business, adapt quickly, and pivot seamlessly between companies and responsibilities. You will support a variety of functions within our organization while gaining exposure to different service lines and building a strong foundation for future growth.
Responsibilities

Perform billing and collections across multiple service lines, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all regulatory and payer requirements.

Prepare, review, and submit patient bills, invoices, and claims, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to ensure smooth resolution of claims and proper reimbursement.

Monitor outstanding claims and assist with follow-up strategies to reduce aging accounts and accelerate collections.

Stay current with healthcare regulations, payer guidelines, and best practices in revenue cycle management.

Collaborate cross-functionally with clinicians, office staff, and leadership teams to support streamlined processes and improved financial outcomes.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and support initiatives to increase efficiency.

Demonstrate the ability to pivot between different companies and departments, adapting quickly to changing priorities and needs.
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management, with strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.

Preferred experience in home health and/or infusion Medicare/PBM billing (a significant plus).

Solid understanding of healthcare billing regulations and compliance standards.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive, adaptable mindset.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders.

High level of flexibility and eagerness to learn new systems, processes, and lines of business.

Proficiency with billing software and electronic health record systems.
