Hybrid Opportunity! We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. In this role, you will play an essential part in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate financial reporting to support strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and a commitment to maintaining high standards of excellence.


Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.

• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Conduct detailed analysis of financial variances and provide insightful explanations.

• Manage accounts receivable, revenue recognition, and payment transactions while ensuring proper documentation.

• Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations to support financial stability.

• Assist in developing annual budgets, preparing forecasts, and conducting trend analyses.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance reporting.

• Prepare grant-related financial reports and ensure adherence to grant requirements.

• Provide financial insights and reports to executive leadership to support strategic initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Minimum of three years of detail-oriented accounting experience, with supervisory experience being a plus.
• Strong proficiency in general ledger management, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
• Experience with grant accounting and revenue recognition processes.
• Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams.
