The receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming environment, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth patient flow within the clinic. We are looking for a Spanish-speaking part-time receptionist who can work afternoon/evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Answer and direct phone calls, and respond to inquiries
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Check patients in and out, ensuring all necessary information and documentation are collected
• Verify patient insurance information and handle patient registration
• Collect and process payments, including co-pays and outstanding balances
• Coordinate with medical staff to manage patient flow and wait times
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and assist with administrative tasks.
• Uphold HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and mailing
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area
• Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns promptly
• Help maintain cleanliness of clinic that may includes cleaning bathrooms or waiting area, mopping, clearing trash.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other office software
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Spanish proficiency required.
