Job Title: Calibration Technician
Job Description
Manage the full calibration lifecycle for test and measurement equipment in accordance with internal calibration procedures and quality requirements. Coordinate with approved external calibration vendors to send equipment out for calibration and receive it back on schedule. Ensure calibration records, certificates, and labels are complete, accurate, and traceable prior to equipment release for use. Proactively monitor upcoming and overdue calibrations and communicate risks to test schedules. Work with engineering to understand the potential effects when instruments are returned Out Of Tolerance and ensure equipment is properly controlled and removed from service when required. Ensure compliance with internal work instructions and quality system requirements related to measuring and test equipment. Support internal and external audits by providing calibration records, equipment status, and process explanations. Maintain documentation and work instructions related to instrumentation handling and calibration workflows. Work closely with test engineers, validation engineers, and technicians to support test setup and instrumentation needs. Provide guidance on proper handling, storage, and basic use of test equipment. Assist with basic functional checks or verification testing as defined by procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical training in engineering technology, instrumentation, or electronics.
- Experience managing measurement or test equipment in a lab, test, manufacturing, or validation environment.
- Familiarity with calibration concepts and traceability.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and basic workflow tools such as Excel and SAP.
Work Environment
This role is set in an industrial environment where engineers, fabricate, build, and test paving equipment across three lines. The test engineering team consists of approximately four members.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
