Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a critical member of the Human Resource team and a strategic partner to agency and program leadership. With minimal guidance, the Talent Acquisition Specialist acts as the talent acquisition subject matter expert, supporting the talent acquisition needs of the agency and delivering on organizational objectives. They play a key role in identifying the best candidates, building proactive talent pipelines, promoting the organization's employer brand, and supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the end-to-end recruiting process for assigned positions/geographical region by identifying proper placement of job advertisements and implementing effective recruitment efforts.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers and HR to forecast talent needs and build proactive talent pipelines aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Leverages a variety of sourcing tools and programs, including job boards, social media, job-related events, and networking, to attract and engage top talent and build diverse candidate pools.
  • Designs job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position's requirements and align with the organization's employer brand.
  • Provides comprehensive information related to compensation, benefits, policies, and procedures to attract and engage top talent and ensure a positive and informative candidate experience.
  • Experience utilizing resume databases, such as LinkedIn, for candidate search and engagement.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and experience in the selection, implementation, and use of an ATS.
  • Collaborates with program leadership and key stakeholders to strengthen the candidate pool, develop annual recruiting strategies, and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Participates in the Recruitment, Engagement, and Retention Committee to contribute to the organization's overall talent management efforts.
  • Maintains compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including proper dispositioning of candidates, document retention, and data privacy.
  • Values professional growth and development by participating in educational opportunities, staying current on recruiting-related topics and trends, and actively engaging in relevant meetings and conferences.

You must have:·

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field and 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in large and small team environments.
  • Ability to translate business and strategic plans into recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, including talent assessment and talent forecasting.
  • In-depth knowledge of internal and external market trends.
