Scope of Position
The Bartender delivers exceptional food and beverage service to guests with attentiveness, courtesy, and efficiency. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to thrive under pressure, and a commitment to maintaining high service and safety standards while creating memorable guest experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
Guest Service & Communication

Provide attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service to all guests.

Clearly convey information and ideas both verbally and in writing.

Listen actively and respond promptly to guest needs, following up to ensure satisfaction.

Describe menu items accurately and accommodate special requests when possible.

Maintain an approachable and professional demeanor with guests and team members at all times.
Beverage & Food Service

Prepare and serve beverages and food items according to established recipes and service standards.

Ensure all beverages remain refreshed (e.g., coffee, tea, soda, water).

Pre-bus tables between courses and clear soiled dishes promptly.

Handle food and beverage orders efficiently and process payments accurately.

Perform pre- and post-shift duties including restocking, brewing coffee, and organizing service stations.
Operational Excellence

Comply with all company, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.

Keep service stations and tables clean, organized, and stocked at all times.

Break down trays, soiled dishes, and linens according to standards.

Follow all emergency and safety protocols, including knowledge of fire exits, fire extinguisher locations, and hazard procedures.

Participate in required meetings and training sessions.
Problem-Solving & Decision-Making

Handle guest concerns promptly, identifying and resolving issues effectively.

Evaluate situations quickly and choose appropriate courses of action.

Prioritize tasks to meet service demands and operational deadlines.
Physical Requirements

Ability to work long shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Medium physical work: able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.

Stand and move continuously throughout the shift.
