<h3>Job Description</h3>
A health services network in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Gastroenterologist to join one of their facilities in Monmouth County. In this role, the Gastroenterologist will be responsible for focusing on providing advanced GI care in a hospitalist setting.
About the Opportunity:
<ul>
<li>Shift: Days </li>
<li>Schedule: Flexible ( Weekdays)</li>
<li>Caseload: 25 to 35 patients daily</li>
<li>Setting: Inpatient</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities:
The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Performing GI procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy</li>
<li>Providing weekday and weekend hospitalist coverage</li>
<li>Coordinating with advanced practice providers (APP) for patient care</li>
<li>Participating in an equitable call schedule with overnight pager coverage on weekends</li>
<li>Performing other duties, as needed</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>M.D., D.O.</li>
<li>Board Certified In Gastroenterology </li>
<li>Valid CDS and DEA certification</li>
<li>Proficiency in GI procedures (EGD, colonoscopy)</li>
<li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li>
<li>Ability to handle a high-volume caseload</li>
</ul>
Desired Skills
<ul>
<li>Experience in an Inpatient Hospitalist and/or Gastrointestinal role/setting</li>
<li>Familiarity with advanced GI practices</li>
<li>Flexible and adaptable to various scheduling needs</li>
