Job DescriptionThe registered dental hygienist is responsible for the flow of dental appointments. This includes proper documentation, communications with the patient/parents, communication with the dentist and dental assistants, providing profound local anesthesia, taking phone calls/questions from parents and relaying information accordingly to dentist, taking and mounting radiographs, prophylaxis, chairside assisting and making of future appointments.
Dental Hygienists also take part in schedule maintenance including but not limited to: updating the schedule by calling patients, ensuring complete patient charting and documentation, and sending appropriate form to parents for completion.
You will also assist the Dentist during examination and treatment of patients, administer company policies and regulatory compliance and maintain stocked dental supplies for procedures. They also help identify any missing components for each patient (forms, payments, etc.) and help ensure a clean and healthy working environment.
