About the Role
We’re looking for a Recruiter – Outreach Coordinator to help us find and connect with the next generation of veterinary professionals. This role blends traditional recruiting with relationship building and event engagement, making it ideal for someone who thrives on networking, organization, and bringing people together.
You’ll spend time both building candidate pipelines for hourly team members (Client Ambassadors, Veterinary Assistants, Animal Care Companions) and connecting with students at universities, colleges, and tech programs. Whether you’re setting up at a campus career fair, coordinating a student lunch-and-learn, or guiding a candidate through our hiring process, you’ll be representing the welcoming, team-oriented culture that makes Veterinary United unique.
What You’ll Do

Recruitment & Hiring

Source, screen, and schedule candidates for hourly roles across our practices

Support hiring managers with interviews, feedback, and offer logistics

Ensure a positive candidate experience from first contact through onboarding

Outreach & Engagement

Coordinate and attend student events, job fairs, and community programs

Build strong relationships with veterinary programs, tech schools, and student organizations

Partner with our Student Ambassador program to create meaningful student experiences

Represent Veterinary United at external events and ensure our values shine through

Collaboration & Growth

Work closely with site leaders and the recruiting team to anticipate staffing needs

Share ideas for creative sourcing strategies and campus initiatives

Track progress in recruiting dashboards and reports to keep goals on pace

Experience in recruiting, HR, event coordination, or campus outreach preferred

Organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities

Willingness to travel across Michigan for career fairs, campus visits, and events
