Food manufacturing company located in Irwindale is hiring for Sanitation Technicians to join their team.

  • Monday - Friday
  • 10:30pm - 7am
  • Must be open to work overtime & weekends as needed

​​​​​​​Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize mixing tanks, product flow piping, pumps, and related processing equipment.
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble colloid pumps and other production equipment.
  • Utilize chlorinated cleaning agents, sanitizers, tank brushes, and other approved sanitation tools and chemicals.
  • Perform environmental cleaning throughout the facility to maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Clean and sanitize utensils, tools, and equipment throughout the shift.
  • Crosstrain and perform filler line cleaning procedures as needed.
  • Support sanitation operations by transitioning between assignments based on production and sanitation requirements.
  • Learn and safely operate electric pallet jacks and/or electric forklifts as required.
  • Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, and food safety procedures.
  • Properly use and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or food production sanitation environment.
  • Experience with equipment teardown, cleaning, and reassembly.
  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, cleaning agents, and proper handling procedures.
  • Understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and workplace safety practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, or related processing environments.
  • Forklift and/or electric pallet jack operating experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards.
