Position Overview
The Concrete Pump Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a concrete pump truck equipped with a boom and related tools. This role requires someone with extensive, hands-on pump operation experience who can work independently, communicate effectively with jobsite crews, and ensure safe and efficient pour operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a concrete pump truck from start to finish, including:

- Pre-trip inspections
- Site setup and pump positioning
- Running the pump during pours
- Monitoring mix quality, line pressure, and flow
- Breaking down, cleaning out, and securing equipment post-pour
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and OSHA safety standards.
- Communicate clearly with site supervisors, finishers, and contractor teams.
- Diagnose and perform basic troubleshooting or maintenance on pump equipment.
- Maintain accurate records, including deliveries, inspections, and service logs.
- Represent the company professionally with customers and contractors.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL (required)
- Significant experience operating concrete pump trucks—boom pumps, line pumps, or both.
- Strong understanding of pump mechanics, safety procedures, and jobsite coordination.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and manage physically demanding tasks.
- Clean driving record and reliable work history.
- Commitment to safety, professionalism, and high-quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multiple pump brands/models (e.g., Putzmeister, Schwing, Alliance).
- Knowledge of concrete mixes and how they affect pumping operations.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with minor repairs.
