Triage Medical Assistant
Assists physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties, such as preparing treatment rooms for patient exams and procedures, recording patient medical history, and maintaining medical equipment.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES*
- Answer medical related questions per protocols
- Assist with prescription refills and
- Schedule follow-up appointments
- Provide and discuss lab results
- Provide patient education, promoting health and disease prevention information that is appropriate to the patient’s age, developmental status, disability, culture, and ethnicity
- Maintenance of accurate and complete medical records
- Notify patients of providers’ instructions, recommendations, and results as instructed
- Review patient charts and records essential information including medical past and history, reactions, treatments, etc
- Obtain patient vital signs, perform in-office labs including blood draws, injections, and specimen collection
- Perform additional jobs as needed

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent
- Required Experience: 2 years of consistent Medical Assistant work experience
- Preferred Experience: eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience
- Certifications and Licenses: Professional Medical Assistant Certification, Basis Life Support/CPR certification (Preferred)
SKILLS:
- Effective communicator
- Ability to maintain records
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge in the fields of medicine, anatomy and physiology
- Ability to use computers
