Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support K-12 students in Wilkes Barre, PA. This contract role covers maternity leaves initially in Lackawanna County and later shifts to support itinerant students in the Dunmore area. The assignment runs through August 7, 2026, with a start date as soon as possible. Part-time candidates may also be considered for this 35 hours per week role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students grades K-12 in a school setting
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster student communication development
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Active Pennsylvania state SLP licensure
- Proven school-based experience working with children and adolescents
- Ability to obtain or complete Pennsylvania state clearances
- Reliable transportation for travel between assigned school locations
- Availability for onsite work; remote voiceover (VOCO) assignments are not accepted
- Willingness to participate in an interview conducted via Zoom
