We are seeking an Accountant at Lynn Community Health Center!
This role will have a primary focus on pharmacy, grants and contracts, and financial planning/analysis. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, thoughtful candidate interested in a career in a healthcare setting to gain exposure to a multitude of different business lines. The Accountant may report to the controller, accounting manager, or director depending on coverage needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- History of good attendance and positive work attitude
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monthly General Ledger closing entries.
- Maintenance of trial balance and reconciliation of General ledger accounts.
- Assist with monthly financial statement packages.
- Monthly billing and reporting of Grants and Contracts.
- Assist in preparation and analysis of departmental budgets.

- Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data, preparing reports.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Documents transactions by entering account information.
- Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintains accounting controls by following, preparing, and recommending policies and procedures.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
- Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
