An established hospital in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a contract position with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings, including musculoskeletal, neuro, wound care, and pediatric patients
- Manage care for patients with total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders) and acute care needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in medical-surgical, telemetry, ICU, and occasional ER/Peds units
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training specific to floor assignments
- Maintain accurate patient documentation utilizing Cerner EMR
- Adhere to facility uniform guidelines and weekend shift requirements (typically 3 shifts per quarter, negotiable)
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably with both inpatient and outpatient exposure
- Valid California PT license and current BLS certification
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR
- Acute care experience including orthopedic and neurological patient care
- Flexibility to cover varied shifts with start times between 7:30am and 9:00am
- Weekend availability negotiable but preferred
