An established hospital in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a contract position with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings, including musculoskeletal, neuro, wound care, and pediatric patients
  • Manage care for patients with total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders) and acute care needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in medical-surgical, telemetry, ICU, and occasional ER/Peds units
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing training specific to floor assignments
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation utilizing Cerner EMR
  • Adhere to facility uniform guidelines and weekend shift requirements (typically 3 shifts per quarter, negotiable)

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably with both inpatient and outpatient exposure
  • Valid California PT license and current BLS certification
  • Proficiency in Cerner EMR
  • Acute care experience including orthopedic and neurological patient care
  • Flexibility to cover varied shifts with start times between 7:30am and 9:00am
  • Weekend availability negotiable but preferred
