Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity acute care environment. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams. You will serve as a patient advocate and play a key role in achieving positive clinical outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities

Assess patient condition upon admission and throughout each shift, identifying and reporting changes in clinical status promptly

Perform ordered procedures, patient monitoring, and treatments in accordance with provider instructions and standards of care

Administer medications safely, monitor therapeutic responses, and intervene appropriately in the event of adverse reactions

Accurately and thoroughly document all patient care activities in the medical record

Respond promptly to patient needs, anticipate concerns, and resolve issues to ensure high patient satisfaction

Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up care using clear, understandable language
-
Collaborate effectively with the care team to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care
Required Qualifications
-
Active Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license
-
Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation

Acute Care RN experience required
-
Experience does not need to be specific to Med-Surg
-
Must be within the last 3 years, or within the last 5 years for candidates with extensive RN experience
-

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date
-
Registered Nurse (RN)
-
Associate Degree in Nursing required
