Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Chesterfield, Michigan, 48047
Hours Per Week: 40/week
Pay Rate: $20/hour
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
Facility Type: Family Medicine Clinic
Work Schedule:
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Every 3rd Saturday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM (when scheduled, weekday hours are flexed to maintain a 40-hour workweek)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Medical Assistant for a 13-week contract position in a busy Family Medicine clinic located in Chesterfield, MI. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week role supporting primarily adult patients, with potential to see patients across all age groups.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Must meet one of the following education or licensure criteria:

- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with a formal clinical externship (minimum 160 hours)
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program without an externship, but with at least 1 year of recent experience in clinical medical assisting (within the past 5 years)
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (recognized professional certification) with 5+ years of clinical experience
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Licensed Paramedic/EMT with 1+ year of clinical experience in a medical setting within the past 5 years
- Military-trained medical personnel with 1+ year of recent clinical experience in a medical setting
