Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Summary The Wi nder Operator is a member of a crew that operates two production lines in a fast-paced continuous manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for safely producing high-quality packaging and products, ensuring compliance with Client “Safer Together” safety standards, and maintaining operational efficiency through teamwork, quality checks, and adherence to TPM methodology. Key Responsibilities Pl ant and Environmental Safety Follow Client Safety Standards and meet all safety requirements Report accidents, near misses, or injuries immediately Participate in safety programs including quality, autonomous maintenance (AM), TPM, and housekeeping initiatives Perform cleanup duties and adhere to environmental regulations and recycling procedures Inspect equipment and communicate safety concerns or abnormalities TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Participate in TPM initiatives and AM/Pillar teams Perform quality checks on winder, EDL, and conveyor systems Maintain control panels and adjust operational settings as needed Communicate with operators regarding production and quality issues Evaluate finished products for compliance with specifications Job Duties Operate winders and packaging machines on both production lines Operate banding equipment and apply pallet labels accurately Track and report scrap and rework material safely Assist with repairs and product changeover procedures Maintain housekeeping and follow SOPs Support training and development of colleag ues Other Duties C ommunicate effectively with team members Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to business needs Make decisions and escalate issues appropriately Maintain regular attendance and support varying shifts Required Qualifications H igh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred At least 18 years old and able to remain drug-free Ability to work overtime and 12-hour shifts in an industrial environment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail Basic mathematics skills Effective communication in English (read, write, speak, understa nd) Preferred Qualifications Pri or manufacturing or process experience Certifications (if applicable) Forklift certification (if/as needed) Essential Physical Requirements / Work Environment Ab ility to stand, walk, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and climb stairs Lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs repetitively Withstand extreme temperature variations and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, and noise (PPE provided) Distinguish colors and shading for product evaluation Education: High School Certification: Forklift certificationCompany DescriptionCompunnel Inc., established in 1994; is a leading provider of Staffing, IT/Software, e-Learning/Training, Business Intelligence, and Cloud Solutions.
