Schedule
Full-time, non-exempt
Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on volume
Alternative schedules (e.g., four 10-hour days) may be offered based on operational needs

The Role
The Underwriting Processing Specialist supports the underwriting team by gathering, reviewing, and validating documentation required for loan approval and funding. This role is detail-heavy and process-driven, working with both internal teams and external partners to ensure files are complete, accurate, and ready for underwriting decisions. Attention to detail while remaining focused on efficiency, and a strong commitment to quality outcomes to support customer satisfaction are critical to the success of this position.
What You’ll Do
- Review incoming loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness based on internal and lender guidelines
- Identify and resolve discrepancies related to credit reports and application data
- Perform initial quality checks on applications, statements, background information, and funding stipulations
- Research businesses to confirm industry classification and supporting information
- Locate, label, and upload required records, including Secretary of State filings and industry-specific reports
- Prepare and verify documentation needed for contracts and funding
- Review and categorize bank verification and account information
- Flag discrepancies or issues that require senior underwriting review
- Maintain clear notes and documentation within internal systems

- Experience working in a detail-oriented administrative, processing, or financial support role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
- Sound judgment and analytical skills when reviewing documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in underwriting, loan processing, or financial services
- Familiarity with credit reports, bank statements, or verification processes
- Experience reviewing compliance- or documentation-heavy files
- Background working with external partners or vendors
