Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Project Manager to lead and deliver medium-to-large concrete construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The Concrete Project Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, safety compliance, and client communication to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. This role requires hands-on knowledge of concrete materials, placement techniques, formwork, finishing, and concrete project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and oversee all phases of concrete projects including pre-construction, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate trades, crews, and subcontractors to meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Prepare, track and control project budgets, manage cost forecasting, process change orders and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Ensure concrete quality control and testing procedures are followed, including mix design verification, placement procedures, curing, and finishing standards.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, verify deliveries, and manage inventory to avoid delays.
  • Implement and enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and structural details; coordinate with engineers and inspectors to resolve technical issues.
  • Lead site meetings, provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, and maintain clear client and subcontractor communication.
  • Document project activities thoroughly including daily logs, RFIs, submittals, inspection reports, and punch lists.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies, lessons learned, and best practices for concrete projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing concrete projects or working as a Concrete Project Manager on commercial or infrastructure jobs.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of concrete materials, mix designs, formwork, rebar placement, concrete pumping, placement and finishing techniques.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience with project scheduling and management tools (MS Project, Procore, Primavera or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prepare estimates, and control costs; experience with change order management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to coordinate subcontractors and site crews.
  • Working knowledge of local building codes, ASTM/ACI standards for concrete, and construction safety regulations; OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; ability to work on-site and travel between job locations as required.
  • Certifications such as ACI Concrete Field Testing, ACI Flatwork Finisher/Technician, or PMP are a plus.
