Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within an educational setting located at Naval Anacost Annex, DC. This part-time contract position offers 20 hours per week, running ASAP through June, serving students from Pre-K3 through 5th grade.

Key responsibilities include delivering speech and language therapy tailored to the unique needs of your caseload. Experience working with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is critical, with a focus on TouchChat and LAMP Words for Life to support effective communication for students with complex needs.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience in pediatric settings, particularly in schools
  • Familiarity with healthcare and pediatric speech therapy practices
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
  • Proficiency in AAC devices and related therapy approaches, especially TouchChat and LAMP Words for Life

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students ranging from Pre-K3 to 5th grade
  • Collaborate with educators and families to create individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Implement therapy sessions utilizing AAC tools to enhance student communication
  • Document progress and provide regular updates on student development
