A registered nurse with Operating Room expertise is sought for an exciting travel opportunity in Nampa, ID. This role involves providing exceptional perioperative nursing care in a dynamic, Level 2 trauma center environment with a 30-minute call response expectation.
Schedule and Hours:
- 12-hour shift, from 0615 to 1715
- Scheduled workdays are consistent weekly but not consecutive
- Call responsibilities 2-3 times per 6-week period on weekends or holidays, with shifts either 7a-7p or 7p-7a
- Up to one stay-late shift per week with on-call hours 17:15-19:15 for 10-hour shifts or 19:15-21:15 for 12-hour shifts; no guaranteed callback if sent home early
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, efficient perioperative nursing care tailored to patient needs in an operating room setting
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams during surgical procedures
- Respond promptly to trauma and emergency cases per Level 2 trauma center protocols
- Maintain sterile environments and utilize best practices to minimize infection risk
- Monitor patient status before, during, and post-surgery ensuring adherence to hospital guidelines
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with an emphasis or experience in Operating Room nursing
- Ability to work within call schedules and respond rapidly when needed
- Experience in trauma center settings preferred but not mandatory
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
