Job DescriptionCommercial Lines Account Manager I – Insurance Services
Join our dynamic team as an Account Manager I, where you’ll play a key role in supporting client relationships, processing insurance documentation, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This position offers a blend of tactical execution and strategic support in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the insurance industry or a related field.
- Active Arkansas Insurance Producer License required.
- Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Applied Epic preferred.
- Ability to work independently under moderate supervision.
- Comfortable handling varied and moderately complex tasks.
- Role is 75% tactical, 25% strategic.
- Non-exempt position.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Communication
- Assist clients with inquiries, policy changes, and claims processing.
- Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention (target: 90%+).
- Communicate effectively via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
Policy & Documentation Management
- Prepare and review insurance documents (applications, quotes, policies, endorsements).
- Set up and maintain client accounts, including Auto ID cards, Evidence of Property, and Certificates of Insurance.
- Ensure accurate data entry in the agency management system.
Sales & Account Development
- Support account rounding by identifying cross-sell opportunities and referring leads to Account Executives or Producers.
- Track policy expiration dates and assist with renewals.
Administrative & Compliance
- Coordinate with carriers on claims, renewals, and policy changes.
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures to prevent errors and omissions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development through SIG U.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
