Responsibilities

  • Partner with Senior Sweater Designer to launch proto, SRS tech packs for all seasonal sweater collections.
  • Daily communication with sweater factories to ensure sample execution as desired from the early stages of development through final production
  • Sourcing yarn, trim, and developing stitches
  • Prioritize workload based on yarn/garment delivery, ensuring seasonal deadlines are met
  • Collaborate production teams to ensure ideal product while also maintaining margins, suggesting more cost-effective options as needed

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as working in WOMEN'S sweater design required
  • Experience in leading fittings
  • Exhibit a strong working knowledge of Sweater garment construction, including stitch / gauge / technical capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Innate sense of urgency and organizational skills; technical and detail-oriented
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, problem-solver, dedicated, deadline-driven and self-motivated/entrepreneurial

Salary: the hourly rate for this freelance position is $45/hour and has the potential to become full-time for the right fit.
