Job DescriptionTechnical Training Instructor

What you’ll do
- Lead engaging technical training classes for customers and internal teams.
- Teach using presentations, guided exercises, simulators, robots, or machine tools.
- Keep training materials sharp—update outlines, improve exercises, and flag anything that doesn’t match real?world equipment.
- Set up and maintain classrooms and training labs so students walk into a polished, “ready to learn” environment.
- Support customers by answering technical questions and helping troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with other instructors and technical writers to keep courses consistent and high?quality.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites to deliver on?site training.
What makes someone great in this role
- A background in manufacturing, automation, or a related technical field.
- Comfortable explaining complex concepts in a clear, friendly way.
- Solid understanding of basic electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Able to read technical prints and pick up new programming concepts quickly.
- Strong communication skills—both in front of a class and in writing.
- Organized, curious, and proactive about improving the training experience.
- Proficient with Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and web?based tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed (up to ~50%).
The work environment
You’ll spend most days in a classroom or training lab, with occasional time in manufacturing spaces. Expect hands?on equipment, active teaching, and long stretches on your feet. Some lifting (up to ~50 lbs) and occasional overtime or weekend travel may be required.
