Construction Foreman

Job DescriptionThe Foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in the installation of water, sewer and drain mains. The Foremen must work within a precise standard of accuracy with safety as a top priority.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise total construction to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
• Prioritize, schedule, and communicate plans and tasks to crew members.
• Monitor work performance and productivity of crew members to ensure specifications, procedures, and safety requirements are maintained.
• Train new workers in the use of equipment and tools.
• Maintain accurate time and material records and complete paperwork as required.
• Advise of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties. Assist in resolving such problems as required.
• Follows company policies and procedures and enforces safety regulations.
• Exercises proper care, maintenance, and operation of company equipment.
• Works cooperatively and courteously with others at all times.
  
  

Position Requirements/Certifications and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within the heavy construction industry performing the installation of water, sewer and drainage systems.
• OSHA 10 Certified
• Competent Person in Trench Safety Certificate
• Confined Space Certificate
• 2A Hydraulics License
• Valid Driver's License
• DOT Medical Examiners Certificate
