Summary
The Project Manager works closely with customers and vendors and is responsible for oversite of the concept of new or upgraded, design, manufacture, repair and installation of the equipment.

What you’ll do
· Drive and enforce SMS group Safety Standards and Objectives.
· Reviews incoming projects and advises disassembly, inspection, GSS BOM/router, repair scopes for new opportunities and products.
· Communicate with customers and outside sales regarding work status, scopes, costs, logistics, etc.
· Creates internal drawings, routers and inspection reports and distributes them to the Production Supervisor.
· Reviews dispositioned inspections, creates quotes and submits quotes to customers and outside sales.
· Updates routers, sources/expedites all materials and manages program inventory levels based off current market conditions and backlog.
· Reviews final inspection reports, work order costs vs po cost to verify all inventory has been charged, all materials and P.O.s financially updated and received.
· Obtains outside materials and services quotes.
· Creates and submits proposals using material and inside estimated hours.
What you’ll need
· Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, and process engineering preferred
· 3-4 years relevant experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
· Strong mechanical aptitude and thorough interest in the workings of machines
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a group
· You are a “hands-on” person with an imaginative and resourceful approach to problem solving
· Experience in area of project management/operations management in a related industry
· Experience with CNC machinery and programing is preferred.
· Experience with open arc and sub arc welding preferred.
· Thorough understanding of MS Office software is required
· Ability to travel to customers and vendor workshops
